|No. of adults per 10,000 records
Number of adults reported for the species in every 10,000 records reported (covering all species).
This roughly normalizes the numbers to allow one year to be compared with another regardless of
how many records were submitted.
This however assumes that the proportionate reporting of one species against another
is constant from year to year, which is not the case.
It may therefore reflect changes in recording behaviour as much as changes in a species' abundance.
It is therefore a crude statistic to be used with care in association with the other statistics.
||Percentage of all records|
The number of records per year that were for this species out of all the records
submitted that year (covering all species) expressed as a percentage.
